Summary

Tuscaloosa Tennis Center (TTC) will be expanded from its existing size to better serve the Tuscaloosa community and attract larger tournaments and events. The planning and design process began in the summer of 2022 with Chambless King being selected for professional design services.

Jaycee Park, as part of this work, will receive improvements to the existing restroom, walking trail, and large shelter pavilion. Additionally, lighting and security cameras will be added throughout the entire park to increase safety.

Currently, the facility includes three indoor courts, six outdoor clay courts, and four outdoor hard courts. TTC is operated by Tuscaloosa County Park and Recreation Authority and offers programs for all ages throughout the year. In addition, it hosts tournaments and events and collaborates with other organizations to engage the community in the game of tennis.

  • Provide more recreational opportunities for residents

  • Improve existing offerings at Jaycee Park
