Tuscaloosa Tennis Center
Updated Oct 20 2020
Elevate Tuscaloosa is exploring the feasibility of expanding the Tuscaloosa Tennis Center (TTC) facility to better serve the Tuscaloosa community and attract larger tournaments and events. A working group comprised of representatives with TTC, the city, the Elevate Advisory Council, and tourism and sports is analyzing the details related to a potential expansion. At the conclusion of the group’s work, a recommendation will be made to the Parks and Recreation Subcommittee.
Opened in 2015, TTC serves as an anchor in the Alberta area. Currently, the facility includes three indoor courts, six outdoor clay courts, and four outdoor hard courts. In 2019, the facility had 250 members. TTC offers programs for children, juniors, and adults throughout the year, for both members and non-members. In addition, it hosts tournaments and events and partners with many other agencies to engage the community in the game of tennis.
