Summary
The vision of Elevate Tuscaloosa is to establish McAbee Center as an elite wellness destination for actively aging adults. The City of Tuscaloosa is currently in discussions to establish the goals, amenities, and programming of the facility to best serve the community of Tuscaloosa. Updates will be provided here as the details take shape.
The McAbee Center houses PARA recreational amenities and programs, as well as the offices of FOCUS 50+. FOCUS 50+ provides a variety of activities and services to meet the needs of residents aged 50 and older, enabling them to remain active, independent, and healthy. Programs include exercise, dancing lessons, card/board games, quilting, knitting, chess, singing groups, health education, financial planning, and holiday parties.
